Have you ever gone through a time in your life when everything changes so fast you don’t know how you got there? That’s how my year has been going.

How are things different? Let’s start with work. I wasn’t looking for a new job… my old boss just called me up one day and ask if I was interested. The next thing I know I have a new role with the company… my own team… and a “little bigger” paycheck. I’m wearing 2 hats at the moment because they haven’t found a replacement for my old position. Anyone wanna be a Project Manager??

My relationship w/ The Chad is going great! Although he’s one of the main contributors to the whirlwind in my life, I’m finding him to also being my rock and stabilizer. Honestly differences are surfacing but they turned out to bond and not divide us. Life w/ him is an adventure and refreshing. Here's some picks from our trip to Florida. We spent 2 days in Orlando and the next 3 in the Palm Beach area.

(Left) Me at DisneyWorld Magic Kingdom. (Center) Chad & I in Epcot (Right) Giant bats in Animal Kingdom. Those were scary because they weren't caged or anything but the tour dude said they were vegetarian... the bats not the tour dude so we didn't have anything to worry about. I wouldn't want to see one of these bats camping though.

We did the whole “meet the parents” thing. I met his a couple weeks ago. I got an invited over for dinner so hopefully that means I got the stamp of approval. He met mine this past weekend for Sunday Brunch. If you don’t count bumping into my X’s family (aunt and cousins) as we were just leaving, it went off w/out a glitch. I had “a talk” with my parents afterwards. They still have a soft spot for my X but they’ve welcomed Chad with open arms so that’s all I could ask for.

(Left) Him scoring points w/ my dad and my dad's adopted son (aka Charlie the Chihuahua). (Right) My parents and my boyfriend in the same room. Yikes.  JK ok it wasn't that bad... actually it was good.

Just looking back on old blogs. My friends were a big part of my life. They still are but everything is different. Weekends (starting on Thursdays)… getting buzzed… meeting boys are days long gone. It’s replaced w/ dinner w/ the girls or double/group dates w/ other couples to sporting events, movies, and such. There’s still girls night out … they’re still fun but definitely a “different type of fun”.

The only aspect that has changed is softball. It’s my outlet. We’ve had plenty of rained out days but I’m still out at the fields.

Blah this blog is long. I’ll blog more tomorrow.

9:00 AM     Its Friday … it’s time to blog.

3:30 PM     Maybe not… there’s not enough hours in a day! But if there were that would just mean more things for me to do so scratch that last thought.

Gung Hay Fat Choy! May everyone enjoy the year of the cock!

Today also marks Ash Wednesday and the 1st day of Lent. What should I give up for Lent? I was thinking I can give up physical intimacy ... naw. Drinking ... I don't drink to excess these days so that wouldn't be hard. After long and hard I'm going to give up eating fatty pork or beef. So no ribs or prime rib for 3 month. Ugh it's really going to be tough but I think I can do it.

Last week we had our annual nat'l sales conference. Going back & forth from the office to the conference and dealing with the fake... yappy... stress nuts (aka sales people) really takes a lot out of you. They're good people... they have a difficult job but I'm ready to get back to the office tomorrow w/out them in my face.

For some R&R I went to Tahoe for my 1st snowboarding trip since 2003! It was a great trip.

1. I finally got the hang of carving (thx to a VERY patient coach ). Before this trip I've been boarding heelside which killed my thighs and made boarding not enjoyable after the first hour.

* Pic of Chad and I with Lake Tahoe in the background.

2. Our lodging accomodations were made last minute but we ended up in a really cute cabin that was cheap and really close to everything! Gotta luv a good bargin!

* Pic of me and the kitchen.

3. My 1st trip w/ his friends. 2 married couples who were good friends themselves. I didn't know if I'd feel like the odd one out but they are fun and easy to get along with so the stress was for nothing.

We're talking about going up again which I'm looking forward to. We all board together or split off but no one gets left behind because the guys are at the same skill level and the girls are too so it makes it easy to board together.

4. I bought new bindings. I finally got rid of the clickers and got some straps. They feel great! I don't know why I waited so long to get them.

Have a good week! I'll try and get back to my old Xanga frequency so ya all come back soon.
